Thank you so much for joining me in this space called At Home in the World. My intention here is to nurture happiness and ease in our lives through written reflections and guided audio practices that can be explored any time and any place. My hope is that these small servings of inquiry and insight will slip into the folds of your life in beautiful and wholesome ways.
On this site I share a variety of practices for you to explore at your own pace and in your own way. Some offerings focus on gentle movement, some explore the power of the breath, and others guide us toward the stillness of deep relaxation and meditation. Most of the guided audio sessions last between 10 and 30 minutes, and the written reflections take just a few moments to read, so I hope that they will be able to fit into even the busiest of your days.
A Personal Exploration
The offerings stem from my 25 years of practice and study of yoga, meditation, qigong, somatic movement, and more. My invitation is to explore the offerings in a way that feels authentic to you, and then to carry anything valuable you’ve gleaned back out into your own life. You might like to revisit the practices, words and images from time to time, modifying and varying them to suit your own needs.
Keep the explorations in your metaphorical back pocket and pull them out when you find yourself with a few free moments. Perhaps you’ll even develop a ritual, settling into them first thing in the morning, or late in the afternoon, or last thing before bed. In this way, these practices can grow into good friends that support you as you cultivate health, happiness and wellbeing in your life.
